Is YumEarth actually profitable for resellers?
If you've already run YumEarth through SmartScout or SellerAmp, you probably saw two things: crowded competition on the everyday anchor listings — the 40-pop bag, the gummy snack packs — and modest mid-summer velocity at Walmart. That read is accurate. And if the whole play were “buy the anchor SKU and ride the main Amazon listing in July,” we wouldn't be carrying the line. Here's what a summer scan can't measure.
Candy is a four-window business
Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter. Americans spent $3.9 billion on Halloween candy alone last year (National Retail Federation), inside a record $55 billion U.S. confectionery market where non-chocolate — gummies, chewies, pops, exactly this line — has grown to 40.9% of the total (National Confectioners Association, 2026 State of Treating). A July snapshot measures the quietest weeks of the candy calendar. September doesn't behave like July, and the tools can't see September from here.
The margin lives off the anchor listing
Experienced candy resellers make their spread in multipacks, variety assortments, and bundles they build themselves — and in the channels where FBA referral math never enters the equation: TikTok Shop, Whatnot live shows, eBay lots, and straight retail shelf. Same case cost, different exit. Okie Dokie buyers resell across all five channels we serve: Amazon, Walmart, eBay, TikTok Shop, and Whatnot.
The brand has structural tailwinds
The FDA revoked authorization for Red No. 3 in January 2025, and every candy maker still using it must reformulate by January 15, 2027 (U.S. Food & Drug Administration) — YumEarth has been dye-free from day one, so its shelf position gets stronger while the big brands rework recipes. And as of June 30, 2026, the brand has new ownership backing its next growth phase (ACON Investments announcement). Roughly 30,000 retail doors already carry YumEarth, including Target, Whole Foods, Walmart, Kroger, and Sprouts.
The seasonal assortments are built by YumEarth
The Halloween and Christmas packs aren't something we glue together in a warehouse — they're YumEarth-built holiday bundle assortments. Allocation is first-come, first-served; Valentine's and Easter windows follow the Halloween and Christmas pre-book. Ordering early is what puts you in line.
And the test is deliberately cheap
$750minimum on the YumEarth portion of your order, zero deposit, and you're invoiced only when it ships. It's priced as a test, not a conviction bet.
Still skeptical? Good — that's the right instinct.
Send Marc the ASINs you scanned — [email protected], or call/text his direct line 321-272-9059— and he'll pull fresh Keepa numbers with you, SKU by SKU. If it doesn't pencil for how you sell, he'll tell you straight. Steve Kajihiro of 'Ohana Commerce started exactly where you are — he ran the whole line through SmartScout, told us the July numbers looked thin, and asked what he was missing. He placed his opening order within the hour.
You're not just buying candy. You're buying margin certainty.
